Frequently Asked Questions
These are the most commonly asked questions about Whatsapp
All documents and voice notes are submitted via Whatsapp. When you first connect with The Knowledge Trust Whatsapp bot it will link your site profile to Whatsapp. This means that the email address that you used to sign up to the site will be linked to Whatsapp, and any documents that you submit will be linked to that email address.
If you’re using a different email address in your job applications, then the two won’t match and we won’t be able to find and match your documents. If this does happen, please respond to the email asking you to submit your documents, and let them know of any other email addresses that you use. The team should then be able to find your documents.
At the moment, the only way for your application to be seen by a partner is if you’ve completed your application and fully submitted your documents. Since the only way to submit documents is via Whatsapp, you’ll either have to get the app, or use someone else’s Whatsapp.
You won’t be able to directly message us with your documents because there’s no guarantee that they will be seen.
Whether you’re looking for jobs/opportunities/learnerships, or you’re looking to learn more from the nano-courses that we have on offer, you will need to reach our Whatsapp number in order to get going.
No matter what you’re looking to do, simply text “Hi” to our number(084 030-9432) and you will receive assistance from there.
Please note: You won’t be able to communicate with our Whatsapp number as if it was a real person. All your interactions will have to follow the steps laid out before you. If you’re looking to speak to someone directly, please try communicating with us either directly via Twitter/Facebook, or emailing us at > curious@knowledgetrust.org
We do indeed have free courses. In fact, we have two types of free content on our site and on our Whatsapp. You can either visit the courses section of the site and keep a keen eye out for all the free courses, or you can visit our Whatsapp bot, and look for the completely free nano-courses that we have on offer.
Education is very important to us, and we want to make sure that everyone has equal access to empowering themselves through education.
Nano-courses are free courses that can be found on our Whatsapp bot, and also through our site. All our nano-courses are created with the help of an educational partner in order to impart vital lessons to all our members.
We try to keep our nano-courses relevant to the experience of all our members. That’s why we have done them in topics such as “Growth mindset” and “Job prep”
Check out two of our nano-courses here:

At the moment, all reports should go to curious@knowledgetrust.org. Send an email with your specific problem, and if possible, please also attach screenshots so that our tech team can find a solution with a clear idea of the problem.
It probably means that our Whatsapp bot is down. If possible, send an email to curious@knowledgetrust.org and explain the situation. From there, you’ll have to be patient while we fix the site.
Yes and no. Sometimes, certain jobs will allow you to complete the whole application process via Whatsapp. We also advertise our job posts on social media. If you’ve seen our Facebook job adverts, then you can click apply on Facebook, but then it will redirect you to our website.
At the moment, though, you can’t complete the full application on Facebook or Twitter. Regarding Whatsapp, you can only fully complete everything sometimes, but your interview will always take place on Whatsapp.
No, completing the Whatsapp interview will only give you a chance at being seen by the partner, depending on the strength of your documents and application. You’ll only be presented to the partner if you meet all the required criteria. If you don’t complete the interview though, then there is a 100% chance that your application won’t be seen by them.
Try to make sure that you always complete your Whatsapp interviews so that you always stand a chance of your application being seen.
Try to pay attention and answer the question(s) to the best of your ability and remember to be yourself.
Also, take note that if your application goes through then the partner will hear your voice note(s). Try to speak with a professional voice, and make sure what you’re saying makes sense.
Be in a quiet environment if possible. Speak clearly and enunciate. Try not to sound bored or monotone, maybe smile while talking. You want the partner to hear the enthusiasm in your voice, and people are more likely to like someone if they sound genuinely interested.
Also, really short voice notes, or answering with only a “yes” or a “no” is a big no-no. There are lots of voice notes where some people go in-depth about why they want a job, or why a certain tool is important. If you’re asked a question about if you’ve ever experienced something and you simply say “yes”, then that’s a huge negative to us and our partner.
Yes, that is correct. In order to fully complete your application, you will always be redirected to Whatsapp to submit your voice note (s) or documents. It’s an easy and convenient way for you to submit everything. We suggest that you always keep important documents on your phone (CV, ID, etc.)
Once you’re redirected, try to complete everything as soon as possible. You don’t want to forget and then have an incomplete application.
