The Situation

TTRO is a leader in innovation and digital education on a mission to revolutionize digital education. This meant that when they were looking to add to their team, they needed to do it in an innovative way that speaks to their processes. The organisation loved the digital-savvy recruitment process that The Knowledge Trust uses from specific and effective screening forms, Live Google Sheets and the secret ingredient of asynchronous interviews via WhatsApp. As soon as TTRO was able to specify their requirements for the candidates, we rushed to get this amazing opportunity live for our community!

Special Ingredient

To represent this innovative, cutting edge digital energy, TTRO needed to rigorously test their candidates’ articulation and interpretations of creative briefs through voice notes. This is where WhatsApp job applications played a valuable role in receiving applications and voice notes that helped represent a more complete holistic view of these creative candidates. WhatsApp automated interviews allowed TTRO to process additional assessments like a design portfolio and testing design skills while.

WhatsApp interviews also enabled TTRO to increase the accuracy in their hiring process based on the amount of social proof they received from candidates. This process resulted in TTRO receiving over 444 applications and shortlisting them to 69 qualified candidates. The design creatives that fit the pack were interviewed through WhatsApp-powered asynchronous interviews and two superstars were hired!

  • Screening criteria: The candidate must have taken Maths or Computer Studies, and understand technology

At the time of the campaign going live, The Knowledge Trust community had grown to almost 282 000 members who were fully engaged and excited about the new WhatsApp application system!
